WE ARE ONE COLLEGE COVENANT
I WILL BE TRANSPARENT FOR A TEACHING MOMENT SO THAT I CAN BE PROTECTED IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS OF MY LIFE:
I will attend all Wednesdays, Sundays (9a or 11a), and Trifecta Gatherings.
I will practice Biblical principles as a Christ-follower such as tithing, reading the Word, and prayer, as well as refrain from any and all substances and addictions, (such as drinking, vaping, smoking, cursing, etc.) that will keep me from reaching my potential in Christ.
My dress code will be modest and above reproach. If any form of movement reveals anything that shouldn't be revealed, I shouldn't be wearing it. (If a member of the College Faculty or Leadership is uncomfortable with my choice of clothing, I understand that I will be asked to change what I’m wearing.)
I will tithe 10% of all of my earnings.
I will follow the qualifications for ministry laid out in scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-13, 4:6-16, 2 Timothy 2:14-26, Titus 1:5-16) so that I remain qualified to minister and so that I glorify Jesus in all areas of my life.
I will take seriously and commit to growing in my knowledge of Jesus, the Church, and sound theology through the study and application of scripture in my personal time as well as lectures, chapels, assigned reading, etc.
I understand that what I post on social media is important. If I have any questionable pictures/statuses/fake accounts/etc. on any social media platform, I will remove them and abstain from any type of questionable content on my online presence. (If a member of the College Faculty or Leadership is uncomfortable with any post, I understand that they have the right to ask me to take it down.)
Our social media accounts should reflect what God is doing in our lives and in our church, so my posting will weekly consist of promoting Gateway/We Are One/Kids encounters and events, or anything relating to Gateway Assembly and the community I’m a part of.
Since one of our WE ARE ONE core values is that “We Get To SERV”, I will model that by getting on a SERV Team rotation on Wednesdays and Sundays.
I understand the importance of only letting what is pure and edifying to come out of my mouth, so I will follow the values of scripture (i.e. Ephesians 4:29, James 1:26, James 4:11, Proverbs 18:21, 1 Timothy 5:13, etc.) so that I will continue to bear good fruit in the community and church I am a part of.
The environments, activities, and behavior I choose to associate with must be above reproach. This will include abstaining from getting tattoos, attending inappropriate parties or questionable concerts, and filtering my media consumption and participation such as the music I listen to, the movies I watch, etc. (If a member of the College Faculty or Leadership is uncomfortable with my attendance to any particular event, participation in any media consumption, etc. I understand that they have the right to address it.)
If I am currently dating/talking to anyone, I will communicate that with the Supervisor Team so that, together, we can determine the best step for this season of my life. If I am found to be living with unbiblical standards within my relationship, I understand that it will be addressed. I understand that any inappropriate messaging or anything that doesn’t glorify God or tears down another person is prohibited.
I will take the principles of 1 Corinthians 6 seriously, as I understand the value and significance of purity, righteousness, and remaining qualified to minister. This includes avoiding all examples of sexual immorality laid out in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, as well as any other act that would discredit myself from following the call God has placed on my life.
Lastly, my attitude will exemplify Jesus Christ, the Pastoral Team and College Faculty in all that I participate in as a We Are One College Student.
